My University is looking into GPS tracking for all the buses that serve our campus. The goal would be to be able to view live the location of all buses on a certain route. So here I am looking for suggestions as to how this would best be done. Entire car computers with GPS uploading either via cellphones, or possibly extending the campus' wireless network to cover everywhere the buses go.

Qualcomm? It's what pretty much every tractor and a lot of trailers are moving to these days.
