    rca converter

    Hi guys

    Ive recently purchased a new mp3 player without rca inputs. ive purchased a rca line out converter and connected the speaker wires , but it seems not to be working . can someone please help me . i bought a sony cdx gt

    are you trying to go from RCA to speaker wire? It will work, but it'll be really quiet. You need an amp if you want it to be loud.

    Right. You need an amplifier or to replace your head unit with one that has an aux in for the RCA jacks. Your mp3 player does not put out enough power to drive your speakers.
