touching screen causes restart after hibernate

sometimes after resuming from standby or hibernate i touch the screen and my computer restarts.
it is hit or miss, when it does happen xp checks the hd for errors...then xp starts normally.
i've got the computer in the house now, when i resumed it from hibernate i tried moving the mouse and it restarted.blah...since then i have manually hibernated, did stand by, let it hibernate on its own as it would in my car.
over and over and over and not had the problem.
the only thing missing from the house tests and my car install is the lilliput 619 touchscreen. i am going to search for different drivers, even though i believe i have the latest.
i was just wondering if anybody else has had a similar issue.
i am running xp sp2,rr the release is 4/11/07 (i think)
    digital fx,win amp 2.95,holux gps 213, and i guidance
on an inspiron 1100, with a 400 watt inverter.
