Looking for opinions on Alpine MRV-F450 5 channel amp

I don't need anything spectacular. I just want a simple amp to use in my car since I'm getting rid of my stock head unit. I want to get a 5 channel amp so I can throw a small sub in the trunk. I really have no desire for a thunderous boom, or blow your ears out volume I just want something functional that will sound decent.

With that in mind I've found this amp and I'm really leaning towards getting it. I've found it for $330. Which is also just about right for my budget.

I'd just like to hear anybody that has had experience with this amp, or has any other suggestions for a similar price range.

    thanks.

mp3car system is currently FUBAR and finances do not allow for a correction of that situation

If it's any help I've got a MRV-F307 which is a bit smaller and not quite so powerfull. It seems quite good, but the bass was a bit disapointing, my little 3522S (again Alpine) seems to produce a crisper bass note.

The powers there however and the rest of the audio range sounds pretty good.

I've yet to test it in the car however as my install is going very, very slowly, I've spent pretty much every night for the last week working on a pair of bespoke speaker pods and I'm still not happy with them. Hopefully it'll be done by Xmas.
And you say people actually pay money for M$ Windows?

Total re-design underway: on the whole progress is very slow as the car is taking up too much time :)
