    Cdrom

    Most car pc systems I've seen are located under a seat or in the rear cargo/trunk....my question is for the cd rom.....is there such a thing as a 15 feet IDE cable ? how do i get that cd rom in the front where its needed? I'm talking about the slim line cd rom's

    Most end up using USB for the drives. This makes runs of 2 meters possible. Slim line CD/DVD drives can be put in such enclosures. You will need to have access to power for the drive still.
