Quick ?

Why does noone use the windows media center edition for the car?
It seems to have all the goodies except maybe navigation. Has FM/AM, Internet, Wireless, MP3, Videos, Pics, Bluetooth, and so on. So why does noone use it? It seems as if it would be the perfect front end software for the car pc. Sorry if I am asking a stupid ? but i tried to do a search multiple times on this matter and it came up with nothing.
This is my first post so go easy on me.

it's the perfect front end for a 42" lcd, but not good on such a small screen like in the car. some have tried to hack it but ms don't leave much room for that...

in the end you could use mce easily enough, it's just xp pro with more software on top of it, but you won't be using it in mc anyway, as it's not to usable in the car.

42?? LCD in a car schweeet!!! That would be awesome!! if you could ever get one in a car. Maybe a mobile home per say. I hear ya i can understand why it may not be usable.
I have been playing with streetdeck and i gotta tell ya it seems no different button wise then MCE nice and big on a 7inch double din. maybe its me and I can see better than the average joe because I have such great eyesight!

another thing is, mce seems to be pretty centered around TV reception, the guide,& stuff that really isn't useful in a car, combined with no way to hack that out, even if it was usable, other front ends would just be better anyway I think..

Which software do you like the best?
I am kinda leaning towards Streetdeck.
They have a nissan skin i really like to take and use!
Which software are you using?

EDIT::: Holy CRAP!!! Nevermind I just read your entire thread on that beautiful FX you bought and fixed up. Good night that 10inch screen looks hot in that car!! Like that paddle shifters as well. All you need know is your computer to light up and neon show for under the car. lol o wait that so eighties lol.
