Factory Wiring Diagrams

I dont know where this should be posted but mods move this if necessary... after searching the forums a little bit i was wondering if their was a sticky or anything posted about what wires are what on factory wiring harnesses. I have noticed that a lot of people have wiring questions and was wondering if members posting their vehicles along with a breakdown of the wiring from the factory would be of any use to anybody. Ex. Someone does an install on (whatever car make/model/year here) and then there could be and on-going thread or whatever about different cars so the guys coming along after could look and see what wires are what in whatever vehicle all in a centralized place...

Any thoughts??

in most places clean power would be preferred, as opposed to pulling from the usual radio-install places. But as for wires used for security/radio installs, there is a FAQ for vehicle wiring. It has several links in it for sites that have extensive databases for such. Those databases are much better organized than a bunch of posts in a thread of likely random order. I think continuing to refer others to those sites remains the best practice. No for obscure things, or more specific questions, there's nothing wrong with searching and then if not found, starting a thread about that.

Me personally, for where to hook into ign/acc/+(but not for amps,carpc, etc)/ground, I like to refer people to http://the12volt.com. If it's more involved I'll help them with a skimmy.
