Top-end JL Audio splits are MINE! - whoot!

    My time to gloat

so here is my story..... went to the car audio shop today to window-shop the prices of a set of JL Audio splits to replace my current co-axials..... price on the middle range ones are good... so I ask 'how much for the top-of-the-line XR's?'..... 'well' says the salesperson, we aint gonna stock em anymore, but have 2 more sets... they retail for $1025, we reduced them to $640, and now are trying to get rid of these last to at $450!!!!! after I picked my jaw off the ground, I handed over the cash and walked out of there with my G/F with a grin from ear to ear!

I am currently turn a nasty shade off green, which will probably become worse when I find out what the price equates to in pounds.

I was wandering how long it would be before you got componets, my VR sound pretty sweet, and I bet the XR put them to shame.
And you say people actually pay money for M$ Windows?

Total re-design underway: on the whole progress is very slow as the car is taking up too much time :)

    Rob,

knew a JL-Audio fan would be interested in my post....

well the Australian dollar is pretty pathetic to your pound.... nearly 1 third if my memory serves me correct..... so you looking at roughly 340 pounds......

as you know I was looking at the VR's..... alot, but when this offer passed under my nose.... well, how can I refuse...?

but seriously, looking at the speakers yesterday, you really wonder where all the costings go.... fingers crossed they sound a treat....

When mounting them, follow JL's recermendations on where to put them, I temporary had mine in the dash while I made up a pair of door bins, and it has to be said that they sound better when they're down low, don't ask why, it just is.

The problem is you'll have to go and get a pair of JL 6*9 to go on the rear shelf as well now

    :edit: still learning to spell
