If you are in a col climate, one very real issue is the fluid around the bearings in the HDD sludging up, causing it not to spin. It's kinda like motor oil in that respect, and you have to warm it up before it will be viscous enough to allow the HDD to turn.
You can avoid this by using a solid state drive.

The bass shouldn't be an issue.
If the PC is close to the subwoofer magnet, it could cause damage, though.
