For anyone who downloaded the beta, please redownload the latest version. The last one had some serious issues with COM ports and lat/lng in GPS mode.
I realize I'm late, but I'm in now. Trying to test this on an old laptop, and planning a carputer.
The WiFi location works fine at home, but only rarely out on the highway. I assume this is because of a lack of beacons.
I have a WWAN card for Internet access out on the road, but that doesn't seem to give location -- unless I'm missing something. Am I?
I also have a Magellan 3200 series GPS. I tried connecting it via USB, and tried each of the 4 selectable COM ports shown in Trapster setup, but Trapster couldn't get the GPS location through any. Any hints here?
