Im guessing it was an option on a 92 cavalier, so the cheapest option would probably be a hayes or bently or chilton manual and a junkyard.
I'd like to have cruise control in my '92 Cavalier so I'm wondering what's involved in that? Is it something I can do myself? If so, where do I go for parts/instructions and generally what is the associated cost? By contrast, what can one generally expect to pay to have it professionally done? Thanks!

I second that. I found an RX-7 with cruise at the wreckers, and it was a simple matter to transplant the cruise ECU, actuator and controls. Your wiring harness probably already has the necessary connections.

Hmmm... but would it be easy for someone whose most adventurous task to date has been changing the spark plugs?
Also, in general, what is the protocol for getting stiff like this at a junk yard. Do you just show up and they let you root through their collection or do you tell them what you want and they help you get at it or what?
ThankS!
could be either. depends on the yard.
Some do both.

Kicker 800watt 4 channel amp
In a 96 Grand Prix SE.
Should be a fairly simple procedure. Basically plug and play.
