Thread: Any MP3/CD players with AM/FM?

First you need to get an FM Tuner card. Those were the big "clearance sale" rage a few years ago. I have one around the house somewhere that I paid 12 bucks for. I did a quick search and found this one: http://www.egghead.com/category/inv/...4/03341853.htm

But if you look harder I'm sure you'll find a better price.

If you want to set up an Auto PC with this card, you'll have to get a graphic LCD display to control it, since most if not all FM cards have proprietary controller software. It's doubtful that you'll ever be able to control one through, say, WinAmp.

I was thinking more along the lines of a small portable player rather than building one out of a PC (not that I couldn't do that, it's just more of a hassle).

And I don't want to shell out the $500 for the Creative Jukebox (which I'm not even sure if it does have AM/FM).

I found that one of the Creative Nomad's has an FM tuner (you can even record from it as a source). Do you really want an AM tuner? Listening to farm reports??? (just kidding...)

Yeah I do. Sometimes I like to listen to talk radio and a lot of it is on AM stations. I just don't see why they can't add AM if they're going to have FM. I wouldn't think it would take too much more to do it (man, I'm stubborn).
