d201GLY2A issue with samsung 750gb sata?

    Hi Guys..

Im trying to setup my carpc, and i have run into an issue that i have never came accross in my entire 10+ years of computer building and tweaking (although this is my first time using SATA hard drives),

The issue i have is my hard drive detects fine on a cold boot, but when try doing a soft reboot (using the reset button, or going through the start menu to restart the computer) the hard drive doesnt recognize in the bios and gives me the message that you get when you dont have an OS installed. If i shutdown the computer let it turn off and then turn it back on, then the hard drive detects fine and windows boots normally.

Im not sure exactly what is going on, anyone have any ideas?
I wish i knew how to do fiberglass work...

Hmm I had a weird issue where SATA "My Digital SSD" would lose it's partition information after a reboot. I never investigated the bios info -- so it may be the same problem you described. I got rid of the drive to go around the problem.

Ive seen a problem with nvidia chipsets and sata2 drives a while back with that kind of problem, Im sure its something similar... They may just not be compatible, try doing a BIOS update if you havent already
