I believe you only need to edit your boot.ini file.
Take a look at the file, it's quite self explanatory.

I am getting a weird issue when I reformat my PC. I put in the Windows CD, then I erase the partician with my old Windows install and I hit format to NTSF. After all the installation is done when I turn on the PC, before Windows will start to load, I get this message that says "Which Windows installation would you like to load?" Then I have 2 options, the 1 st option always works, the 2nd one I always get an error. So I have to assume my previous install is not 100% being wiped out, but enough that it shows up...... How do I keep this screen from showing up.... Remember this is for a CarPC, so I am using a PS3 thumbpad, so I have to wait for the countdown, which is 28 seconds long, to finish before Windows will start. Anyone have any ideas?

1. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
2. On the Advanced tab, click Settings under Startup and Recovery.
3. Use the pull down menu to select which OS you want to be the default to boot.
4. Remove the circled tick mark from "Time to Display List of Operating Systems".
5. Click OK and you are done.
