Has it or can it be done?
Hello Everyone-
Has anyone ever used the HUD in a car as the video display for a carputer?
Can it be done? Would it be worth it? (not to be used while driving, of course)

I think one big problem with it is getting enough contrast to see it easily, and also having a system that can update fast enough to support video.
The systems that are currently in use, even one systems like fighter aircraft, utilise only a few basic primary colours, and are not set up for anything flash.
Also with a windscreen, your glass is not uniform, so if you were trying to project a square image, it doesn't generally come up square on reflection.

Thanks, Chester.
I had a feeling it wouldn't be worth it even if it could be done.
....until someone invents a badazz HUD for such purposes.
