    VoomPC2 custom cable?

sorry if this isn't the right place to post this.

I saw this thread a year ago, and I was about to buy one from him, but I noticed he's banned. It's basically a replacement wiring harness for the VoomPC2 case. It allows me to have a molex connection pass through it, which is my main motivation for getting this. Does anyone here know where I could find one like this? Or maybe someone here could make one for me? thanks.

I remember there was a thread of where you could buy the connectors... I think it was from digikey... I searched but couldn't find it. Anyone else remember where that thread was?

this is the thread for the connector:
    Molex "mini-fit JR" series

you also need to buy a crimper, make sure it's a good crimper not the $10 crappy one.
I had one of those and I hate it so much.
Get the one from molex, $50 or so, works well.
    digikey part number: 63811-1000

I might be able to build one for you, I think I have extra parts laying around somewhere.
    Pm me if you want.

That harness is easy to make, no crimper is needed. Just need solder gun and a needle nose plier.

I have done it many times. I actually take out the useless cables that are present on the plug and connect my own power/ground cables for the monitor and usb hub. I simply solder the connectors, crimp with pliers, and it's done. Do not need any special crimper.

$50 for a one time crimp is expensive! I think I'd rather try to crimp with needle nose pliers. LOL.

Skuller, it looks like u are a good fabricator. I like the way you mounted your HD in your Ampie case. Would it be possible to mount two HDs on that piece of metal that you fabricated?

    fabworks:
good for you then, I never able to crimp a good solderless terminal with a small plier or a nose plier.

    hehaha:
with a dsatx on it too? no way.
unless you're using m2atx then yes, 2 hdd is possible.
