www.crutchfield.com has mounting kits to relocate a single din unit.
So I was one of the idiots who bought a Lilliput in dash monitor and of course it's now broken.
This leaves me with a dilemma, I am running out of money but could just afford to buy either a new in dash or a double din mount and a lilliput 629.
My car (1992 Toyota Hilux Surf) has a double DIN radio slot. Right, so you're thinking go for the double din monitor then, not so easy.
I want to use my current car radio as my amp and handsfree (it has built in bluetooth) so this means that i'd have to mount this somewhere else instead of in the normal DIN slot. Does anyone know where I could find a half decent mount so that I could try and mount the head unit somewhere else, under the dash or something? The head unit (Sony MX-BT5000) doesn't have a whole lot of mounting options on it as it stands.
Or else, should I just chance another €350 buying another in dash unit when they ALL seem to have serious reliability issues and when i'm going to be driving on some very un-savoury roads with the carputer.
Any advice would be appreciated,
Stonedhippy
