I have been working on this project for several months now and seem to run into snags every time I think I'm about to finish. I've recently incorporated Webmaster's brilliant laptop auto power on module into my system but now I have run into another snag. I am running an IBM Thinkpad 600X with 589meg of memory and XP pro. It is perfectly suited to handle playing movies and I have built in a USB 2.0 card to connect a wireless presenter mouse, X10 pc remote, wireless N card (for movie transfers), and bluetooth (for wireless headphones). Everything is running pretty flawlessly now. I even found a perfect Media Center program to display jpg files that are linked to the avi files for easy navigation. I currently use J. River Media Center on a similar laptop connected to my kids playroom TV. It allows my young kids to select the movie they want and play it with ease. My big problem is, when I configured my CTPC to run this program, it bombs out as soon as you set it to hibernate or standby. Even Microsoft Media player will not allow continuous play after a hibernation or standby. VLC and some other players work fine, but the interface is pretty nonexistent as far as a movie media center goes. Does anyone know of a good media player that would allow a jpg to be linked to a listed avi file which would allow standby or hibernation without causing the movie to restart?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
