CD Player w/ sound/ forward-back buttons on front??

Hey, I know cd players come with volume on the front... What Im thinking is this:

what I would like is to put a cd player in one of my din (radio head unit slots, I have 2) and use it as a in-dash mp3 player.

Now the thing is, I dont want to drag out the keyboard, or some other bulky/dangerious-to-use-while-driving computer input device to move forward and back through the songs... any CD players that have that kind of controls on the front of the cd-rom?

IIRC the Creative Infra series did, tho I dont know if they are still made, possibly in DVD form.
They also had a remote control (hence infra!) which allowed you to contol the mouse in windows, and hot key features.

Why not mount a small numeric keypad somewhere and use the WinAMP plug-in for it???

If you want to go to extremes - Find someone with a broken DIN sized radio/cd, and strip out the chassis electronics. Mount a slim slot load drive inside it, and in the front panel, mount an LCD character display. Wire the buttons from the front panel to an old keyboard controller to control the PC, and connect the LCD to the parallel port of your PC. Amount of work involved? Quite a bit more than your prepared to do, based on the fact that all the information you require could have been obtained by searching the forum.

Ah, phil.45 perhaps I should clarify somthing. Im not looking to build. I know many on this forum see the following two statements as equally good answers to a "how can I find xx"
"you can by it at place xxx."
"here are plans to build it."

I know its possible to build.. and I see some people who are very skilled at building. Typically if I build it a) looks unprofessional or b) takes forever. Since Im working and taking night school, I really cant build.

So, I really am looking for a cd player with controls on the front, vs building one to that config.

Defiler: I wanted to do a keypad.. but honestly, its difficult even finding space for a keypad.. espicially if thats in addition to some keyboard...

Thenominous: thanks much for the info, I'll look into that.
