Very interesting, but none of the supported motherboard are mini-itx =(
Howdy,
I happened to be surfing engadget, and came across the instant boot software. I'm honestly not too familiar with the different boot setups(as I don't have my carpc yet)...but this may be intriguing to some of you!

Yeah, I contacted them and they only support it on their currect boards, full ATX. I told them that if they make a mini-itx board, they will sell them like hotcakes. Better yet, if they can make it into a software application.
Might be worth having some of the users here email them. They certainly would sell them like hotcakes!
Sorry for not noticing the boards supported
I've looked into this feature, and one big draw back is, it requires constant power even while its off. Noticed there are two modes, fast mode/regular mode, the fast mode require constant power, if power is cut it'll use the regular mode, and its nowhere as fast. Altogether, its not very fast compared to standby, while consuming the same amount of power.
