I just want to use the speakers. I'll use the Xenarc's built in amplifier to power them.

Thanks for everyone's help and advice so far!

StreetDeck V1 is available again for download and purchase.

    My opinion is my own.

That's great. I know it's a matter of preference, but from what I can gather from their website and demo videos, streetdeck wins hands down. I can barely find screenshots or documentation on roadrunner, and the centrafuse demo is underwhelming. Streetdeck looks like it's exactly what I'm looking for.

Any recommendations on an AM/FM tuner that is streetdeck compatible?

Right now, since boomzbox never made it to the market, we only have the Visteon set up (thanks to Doclee), but it works great with V1. Note that is the "lite" version (mappoint not included), but you get free upgrade to V2 that will have navigation. If you can find mappoint standalone, it works automatically with StreetDeck.

You need to register at streetdeck.com if you haven't already. The forums are down right now (being upgraded), but that is where you will find all the addons.
    My opinion is my own.

(according to microsoft, there is a 60 day free trial of mappoint 2009, but I haven't tried that.)

    Two stupid questions, I apologize:

    1) What is the Visteon set up?

    2) If I buy streetdeck now for $99, how much will the maps cost when I upgrade to V2?

    Thanks,
    Nick

Visteon HDZ300 and you will also need the serial cable that you can find here on mp3car (just look for HDRadio Cable)

The Visteon is an HD Radio Tuner tuner module that is designed to be added to your existing factory or after market stereo system. It is designed for automotive use, has a very high quality tuner in it, and uses your existing antenna. Mitch from MJS Gadgets (http://www.rush2112.net/) has made a data cable for it to be controlled by your computer in place of the control screen that comes with it. Very good setup for a low cost if you look around for deals on the Visteon unit.

I would think so since it does play regular am/fm as well as HD, but I couldn't guarantee it.
