MAN!!! that's fud up.... any idea who did it the first time... probably the same people, or similar group. If I were you, I wouldnt let a damn soul know I was doing any kind of project like this... sounds like you have someone close to you, not to be trusted. Feel bad for you, keep us updated on the insurance company, etc.

    Okay here's the scoop.

I have a brand new Chevy Trailblazer... nice enough ride when I wash it =), unfortunatley I was across Houston when it was stolen. The thing is, I buy, remodel, and resell houses for a living. A LOT of the homes we buy are in rough neighborhoods and are pretty screwed up. That's why I'm able to buy them for 20% of their repaired value. That also puts me in the hood a LOT!

This morning I was looking at a lady's house that was left to her by her mother. I was inside taking pictures and writing repair estimates for about 30 minutes. I walked out and no friggin' car.

It was parked on a relatively busy street with cars being started up and driving by at regular intervals... so I guess I didn't notice when mine got had.

I have some securtint from Lasco Intl. and and an Autopage alarm system sitting beside me right now. I guess I paid for procrastination, huh?

This leads me to another question. There was NO broken glass which can only lead me to believe they slim jim'ed it. What can be done to prevent that?

The next ride I get I'm having a metal fab shop fabricate a box and weld/bolt it to the frame to put my alarm system in. That solves that issue (I think).

As far as having an untrustworthy friend... I don't trust anyone really, but the fact remains that I was on a business call and no one really knew where I was. Hell I didn't until I got there.
