Well, finally I have a car large enough and good enough to be worthy of a project.

The Skoda favorit was fun, cheap, reliable, but ultimatley V slow, and rattly.
Thanks to the oddball nature of "Saab owners", as they are seen by the rest of the UK population, I just got my self a nice
Saab 900 T16S on a UK B plate ('84)
118k miles (Service History upto 108k)
Some niggles and little jobs, but nothing major.
And there is so much floor space under the hatch/trunk floor, that a decent build/install just has to be the way to go.
nothing in yet, beyond the stock "Made for Saab" Clarion system, radio cassette, but I've yet to see if I have the option AMP below the rear seat.

I hardly think my -85 Audi 100 is worthy a character-display setup... well well

The Beauty of the older Saab, Volvo, Audi, and BMW (5 series or above) is that they are big, and solid, and can do lots of miles. And because people don't realise that they can do lots of miles, they sell them cheap, and we buy them.
An Audi 100 would make an Excellent base for a full multimedia car.

I paid 325gbp (so about 450-500euros) for the Saab, it has done 118k miles (can't work out the KMs) but it has service history upto 108k miles.
