Simply cut away 2 conneectors with enough wire to solder them together. Pay attention to colors. Same colors solder togehter.
So I buy a M1-ATX power supply from a member here (I got by the way and thanks man). I notice as I opening the box that the atx connector cable is not there and I start to get all upset. I search the internet and ebay looking for a male to male ATX connector and can't find one. I'm thinking to myself "this is not good". Then I start considering buying a pair of ATX extensions and splicing them together. I go to my local computer store to pick up a pair, as I am walking in the door I notice that they have a drop off box for people to dispose of their old power supplies, and that every single one of them have a male ATX connector on them. Bingo,,,, snip snip and viola, a free male to male connector harness.![]()

It's already a done deal. I made it about a foot long, being that I'm undecided about location.
I did such a wonderful job soldering all the wires together, but I forgot one critical thing,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,drive connectors. I'll have to splice in a couple as this power supply takes drive power from the atx plug,,,duh. Can somebody tell me if all the black (common) leads are in fact common to one another, as in does it matter which black wires that I splice into? The red and yellow are easy.
Never mind, silly me, I flipped the power supply over and can clearly see that all the black wires are in fact common on the pcb board. Back to the soldering gun I go.
