Thread: About car alarms...

I have a Mercedes SLK230, the alarm on the car is a bit outdated and I would like to put something new in there.

The more I search, the more I get confused about what is the best alarm I can install in the car.

I can get a really good 2 way pager system, or I can simply get one of those Connect2car kits that will make my cellphone control the car, or I can get something a little bit different that uses GSM network and only sends me text messages without a fancy interface.

I really want something I can use that has other functions, is interactive with my carputer and can be configured by it, and also does control various functions like the top, and is shock sensitive with a camera...etc

Anyone has an experience with those things?
