I bought an aftermarket gauge, but the ohm readings are different.

if the aftermarket gauge reads

140 degrees = 459 ohms
185 degrees = 191 ohms
212 degrees = 119 ohms

and the sending unit from the engine reads

140 degrees = 70-90 ohms
212 degrees = 21-24 ohms

is it just as simple as soldering some resistors and if so, what resistors do i need to solder to the sense wire?
