First I ever heard of it, but I'll be sure to check it out, thanks for the heads up!
Not sure when it debted but i downloaded it today.
Fantastic visual interface for carputer uses.
Only played along with in for about 10mins.
you can use the touch screen but the buttons are quite small so it's better off navigating with a keyboard or mouse.
was using an aircard for testing today, based on my location (in the middle of my buidling, carputer was on my desktop) the video was a bit choppy.
initial Notes :
Application is bandwith hungry , it streams alot of stuff in the background.
the website plays video alot better IMO.
what do you guys think?
First I ever heard of it, but I'll be sure to check it out, thanks for the heads up!
to calrify on the "hungry bandwith"; this is MOSTLY seen when you are playing a video in the background whilst your in the menu looking for other movies/shows to watch.
I am going to drive home now so I will test it further :-)
I guess that explains why they forced Boxee to remove Hulu support. Even in their FAQ they say they hope to have all content available, but it's up to the providers. Hollywood is so lame.
I looked at a video on youtube can it atleast play audio?
I didnt see an option the video that I saw that showed it could play audio
Jeez, tried to look at the HULU site from work and it's blocked. Damn websense I hate it!
Think he means to use it as a stand alone audio/video player. Doesn't appear that it works that way. Like you said, it's to watch THEIR programming. I don't think it plays any local content at all.
honestly, if you want a program that is very, very similar to hulu's desktop frontend for your local music and files, jrmediacenter is where its at.
