hey guys
looking into putting my 360 in my car, it will sit just behind the centre console, between the centre console and the rear seat.
given its location, could i crank air con (freezing cold) into the unit when in use from the centre console points?
dont give any thought to the inconvenience of cold air, as, i can close all other vents, and the heat will come out hot anyway (once passed through the 360)
its more for show purposes so its not an overused item, but i still want it there
the air will be pushed into the cases sides (when horizontal) or top/bottom (when vertical) depending on how you would like to see it, then passed out the back
would this work?
Using cold air from an A/C system would likely cause condensation on the 360 and anything inside (electronics and water... no good)
Also depending on the normal temps of your car, going from something like 90*+ F to say 65* F rapidly and repeatedly is probly not good for any electronics...
finally when it dose get cold, and your turn on your heat you will be blowing hot air into your already hot 360?

the idea of condensation anywhere near the 360 gives me reason enough to abandon this project
i spose i have to accept 360's were never made with any possibility for in car use

you could just use a couple of fans to keep air circulating around it, instead of using a/c
360 will be making its way into my vehicle, with a custom array of cooling fans to keep the air moving. you dont need cooling such as AC. and you would have to wait for it to warm up to use it in the winter. but I am just going to be using mine for display purposes only. so it will stay in my house for the most part, and only go in its vehicle mount as i want it to.
im still trying to find somewhere to place it howeverany ideas? so far i have the parcel shelf, but semi stealthed for security issues
you have failed to mention what vehicle you have, and no pics either, so i have no suggestions.
its an au ford falcon, 2000 model, sedan, only place i can really see is in the boot, maybe roof mount?

roof mount just doesnt seem like a good idea
thought on the roof, and yea, your right, baaaad idea, under a seat worries me for the reason of air circuation
i think i may go in the boot
