The carputer works in the room.

Not in the car, but atleast it works in the room. Still in the installation and completion phase.
In this picture, I am using a SWF file to have some motion in my desktop. As you can see its the Mitsu logo.

The cable here is sitting over the computer that will become my carputer.

Hopefully soon enough, I still need a Opus DC to DC psu, and I have been debating with some body work guys at my job, on ways on how to put it into the center console of my car. It hasnt been easy tell ya that.

where did you get that controller? it looks like the ones off of ebay for about 10 bucks

Yes its from ebay, I was looking for an ELO touch and I came across this setup. It inlcuded the lcd, Intellitouch overlay, touch controller and lcd inverter for a $150.00 It was a gamble the guy that sold it to me, sold it "AS IS". I emailed him, asking if it did work he said yes, so I bought it, with the "buy it now" option. Not a bad deal IMO.

Although I have been looking around for a brighter backlight. Any suggestions? I have emailed various companies, but none have any help.

looks like I have the same one you have from ebay.. I think the guy was selling quite a few of those kits recently. I got mine for $150 too... waiting for the epia mobo to come in to hook the lcd up to...
How did you wire up the intellitouch controller to your serial port? Like.. the pinouts? I havn't really messed with it much lately since I don't have it hooked up to a mobo yet.. just wondering in advance....
