I have not had trouble in 10+ years of operation in Denver Colorado even during record cold temps.... the largest issue was one boot attempt that required a second power cycle after a minute or so..... I think that was the Hard Drive not spinning at the correct RPMs due to cold but that is an educated guess.

See I find that odd. I'll get a few times during the winter when it is especially cold here in maryland where the hard drive doesn't spin up, I assume due to cold (FDB's). Once the cabin warms up it'll usually come up just fine.

That being said, it could be something else entirely. What kind of temperatures are yo useeing?

Low single digits F.... This has all been hashed out before.
I seem to remember several threads compiling a list of hardware and the lowest temp everything worked.

Yeah, this has been hashed over quite a bit. I'm in upstate NY and we get single digits F and I haven't had any trouble with startup. Screen has been dim sometimes but after a minute or two of warming up it works okay.

    From the FAQ emporium: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/faq-...-faq-faqs.html

Look for "cold" in the thread.
