It seems very odd that something would ship from Brazil when they're located in Fremont, Ca.

I'm with a few other people on this, your address/cc is verified via PayPal, they should not be requesting any payment information from you as it's already been processed. Either someone is intercepting their orders or there may be a trojan/keylogger on your computer.

i called the 510 number, may-b it is cheaper to make it in Brazil, but honestly i really dont care if they ship the item from brazil, or from Zimbabwe, 1 thing for sure is that i am not sending them a copy of my card lol. also i though of a possible 3rd interfearance with this transaction but after double checking their information, i dont see a possibility of that, also my system is very secure with 2008 server, the only thing i can think of is the security of their computers and a possible data leakage from them.

BTW, no refund has yet been issued to my account.

I agree, this is standard practice. When I take a guest into the Hotel, I make an imprint of the credit card for room charges and incidentals. I also make the guest fill out a card that allows be to charge their card if they are to leave without paying, and or destroy anything in the room while occupying it. We also get a lot of international reservations and people that want to prepay for a room. They are faxed an authorization form saying that we can charge their card in advance, and the form must have the correct address, along with a photo copy of the card. This is how the merchant services tells us to do this. They say the more info you have, the less fraud and disputes we will have. So far its held true. Before I implemented the card that they have to sign for damages and stuff, we lost every case. One time I had a guest kick a $500.00 dollar hole in the bathroom, and I lost that case. I then had a guy that dragged a 100 pound chest across a antique floor and it made bad streaks. Because he signed the card, he lost the dispute.

hijack, i understand this practice perfectly.
however in a hotel you are trusting the occupant with $30K of property, not to mention the little items that are in the room. this is a completely different scenario. i am not renting this device, and leaving a deposit in case i damage it. i am purchasing it..

I understand the business is different, but Credit Card Merchants dont see that. They want certain information no matter what.

Mini-box.com is kick ***. I just got 15 M350 + PICOPSU-90 and 60W ADAPTER and 15 Intel D945GCLF2D mini-ITX motherboard. 1 out of 15 picopsu-90 was bad and they 2day ship me a new one and toll me to keep the bad one. Well the pico90 was not bad...I found out they sent me one wrong adapter...and I had like 4 of thoes adapter at home.

I call them back and they said just keep it anyway.

    So i have a free pico90w.

14 of these is for my company and 1 for me...I'm start to replace all of our pc's with these cause we are using terminal services and don't need big powerfull pc.
