Is it me or is it this forum?

I am a newbie to MP3car.com and i have done what i think is quite a bit of research on building a carputer. I have posted up some questions that although i dont know the answer to them they dont seem like they would be difficult questions for some of the member here that are very experienced in the wolrd of computers. I am used to going on forums and helping others and seeking help when i need it and normally getting a response doesnt take a day or two days and the responses i get when i ask a question a normally good answers, not shot answers that leave the question unanswerd or answers that ask more questions that neither help the forum of me. Maybe its because i dont have 1000 posts, i know some forums are like that if you havent been a member since day one then nobody want to talk to you. i dont know. all i do know is that i have just a few posts here and i would appreciate nothing more that to get a little help. Maybe i am not asking the right questions or maybe noone here has enough experience to help me with my questions. I dont want to come off as a jerk and i am in noway trying to bash the site or anyone here i am just really baffled that the couple of questions i have asked have not gotten very much attention. like i said before on all of the other forums that i am a member when a question is asked useually doesnt take long before someone is willing to jump in a help a fellow member out. sorry for the rant, im probably just thinking to much in it.

Did you post your questions in a wall of text similar to this? It's probably because nobody's reading them, I got to admit, I got to the third line and my eyes started to bleed. Break up your points into paragraphs so it's easier to read.

As Maheriano said, you gotta work on your post. It's always better to have a quick and short question. That way, you'll get more answers since more people will have the time to read...

Also, you need to add some punctuation marks, some paragraphs etc...

I admit I didnt even read your hole Thread, cause I was always reading the same line back and forth lol

When I got on this forum, my only goal was to get as many information I could to install my first CarPc. First, I tried to find some guy that had the same car and started from there.

Sure some questions came along the way, but those have been answered with some intensive searching...and some have been answered on here.

If you post a question that has been posted many times, that means the search wasnt done properly....I don't want 2 be rude on you, just want to tell you HOW I DID.

It's different for many people since we don't have same electrical or computer Skills level, thats why we help each other....

So, here's the possibilities why people don't answer to your threads:

1- Question have been answered many times
2- Post unreadable
3- Question Not clear enough so people can understand your point
4- Post unreadable
5- No picture to help understand
6- Post unreadable

SO, In my opinion, this forum is one of the best!!! Don't give up !!

I don't even know what to say.

That just sound rediculous.

IMO there is plenty of punctuation in what i wrote. Its unbelivable to me that reading is an issue on a forum. God forbid you get off the computer and try to watch tv or go outside and hear people talk. I'm sorry but not putting an apostrophe in some words shouldnt slow you down. To top it off, there are no pictures?!? I'm sorry i didn't think this was kindergarten. No pictures, really. (should this have been broken down into one line paragraphs?)

I didnt even want to post this reply because i know how its going to come across and i hate to be that guy that genuinely needs and wants other people input but is forced to sound like a douch.

If the detail in your other thread about multiple monitors and vid output options is not clear or someone wants more info before answering... well they are making an effort to assist.

The large block of text above... I have no interest in reading it (dyslexia and that type of format makes it hard for me) if you call that lazy... I am OK with that. I am not concerned about your post count.

Another one for the wall of text in the original post.

It's not being lazy, it's just difficult to read, it's like when my 12 year wants to explain what happened, I have to say to him 'get to the point' as it's one whole monotone and the pertinent part is usually buried amongst a whole lot of unnecessary stuff.


Now I haven't read your other posts (at least I don't think so) so I don't know if they are they same, however I will go have a look see.

many questions here either go unanswered or they dont get replied to until weeks later. its just the nature of this forum, especially as many of the members are fairly well advanced with their stuff and dont generally like answering basic questions.

I see the display thread has a reasonable suggestion for you to answer your own question now. Is that what you are after?

General feedback for newer builders:
Much of this hobby is figuring out what YOU want out of your set up. Adding complexity adds to the level of detail you need to be able to handle.

Personally, my solution is a very simple install, it fits my needs and the level of set up I am currently willing to have. Other people really like all the bells and have a more detailed set up.

The only person you need to make happy is you.

Advice:
Enjoy the experiance and bench test everything prior to installing in the car.
