    Smile My project smart car (new pics)

    Some better pic's my friend took for me

    These are on some of my webspace so they should work now

    ps. it's not finished but expect to see pics of it in some of the uk magazines next month :eek

    Mercedes-Benz makes them, they've been out for about 4+ years and I know you can switch out the body panels to whatever color you like.
    - 3+ years & still no carputer!
    - Done collecting parts
    - Currently planning setup

    Yeah the panels can be changed in under an hour

    Ive got red, blue and sliver set's

    Ive got my ftp working

    So i'll upload some pic's of the car tomorrow (though there's not much to see inside yet)

    that is sooo cool..... and you could respray panels without having to mask up your car... I love it!!!

    Damn, I knew that the original smart car had been around for a while, but I just looked at their site, and that smart roadster looks , too bad they dont sell micro mini machines in the US

    I must say that thing looks cool, but 135kmph max is WAY to slow for me. I do close that on the way to school every day. I bet you do get insane gas mileage though.

    Oh, and you have a time limit to finish your project? Ouch... Good luck...
    Comp. Specs:Shuttle SS40G, Athlon XP 1700+, 256MB DDR, 40GB HD, Belkin Desktop 802.11b card (good range), SB 128 sound (onboard is a bit noisy), DVD ROM
    Toshiba 100CS laptop, P75 40mb ram, 550MB HD, Megahertz LAN/modem PC card, modified to run off 12VDC
    Other stuff:Generic USB hub & USB to serial adapters, BS2SX power control system w/battery buffer, Jazz 300W Inverter, FM Modulator, Palm Vx, & GPS

    Status: 80% complete (Almost done with the controle boxes)
