Organize music on my laptop for TruckPC

Is there a program that lets me organize my music on my computer so i can see song title, album title year produced and things like that. Something similiar to Itunes but I dont want to convert my mp3 to AAC. I just want to be able to see my entire library and be able to organize it and edit.

there are MUCH better alternatives to iTunes with ipod support as well.

jrmediacenter.com is the best. it costs very little for what it is. it makes itunes seem childish and dumb. this also includes picture, video and tv support too.

jrmediajukebox is a free version of media center as it only does audio, but it doesnt have an mp3 encoder ($10 to add) so if youre going to buy the encoder you might as well buy the full media center version even if you just use it for audio.

there is nothing better that i know of to orginize mp3's.
tagging is too easy, its rock-solid reliable and the customer support via their community forums is 2nd to none.

ive used jrmediacenter for what.. 6 years now? jim is always updating the software, every year there is a new version and it just keeps getting better. its weird to me how its not more popular, but whatever. people like their foobar and crap like that.

Well if where throwing paid apps in the list....best tagger out there:
    http://www.zortam.com/

It can do anything you can imagine with tags and is excellent for automatically tagging and renaming files after songs have been ripped (and you no longer have the CD). Also, has lyrics support which is a nice rarity.

I know I may be off the mark, but isnt that what a Frontend End is for? Like Centrafuse, Ride Runner, LinixICE, etc?

frontends dont tag like jrmediacenter can. never tried zortam, ill check it out! if youre in the carpc biz, youre willing to spend money anyway i use jrmediacenter to tag and keep my music all in order (12k songs, 80+GB), even though i still use winamp with my front end.
