Hiya, after doing much searching on google and mp3car and not finding what I'm looking for, I'm reaching out for help from you folks.
I have done 2 previous carpc setups successfully, and both of them used centrafuse and touchscreens as their interface.
I have been planning out a carpc for my latest vehicle for a while now, and I'm trying to find a different control scheme for the front end.
What I'm looking for is a front end that works well using only what amounts to directional control (up, down, left, right, click) without a mouse or touchscreen.
Essentially something that is similar to the latest car interfaces on BMW's or Audi's.
I'm not sure if there is anything out there currently that fits what I want, and I'm not sure what terms to search for to find out.
I'm not even sure if I'm explaining it well![]()
Can anyone help me out?

Thanks, that is a good match for the hardware side of it.
However, its the software side that I'm having trouble finding resources for.
I found this project while just browsing through the board, and its the right idea-

Also, while searching around for info on the Audi MMI interface I came acrossed Carx, which might end up being what I need. http://www.carx24.de/products.htm
Try AMP XM, a front end for the MAC. Does what you want, uses keyboard commands for up/down, left/right.
