its funny, cuz it never did that before
i was using winamp cuz it was quick and never gave any issues.

    i recently changed the motherboard+cpu
but the issue only started happening like 6weeks after i got them replaced

I use a sad for XP and a platter drive for media. I highly doubt it to be related to the drive.

hibernate is pretty awesome though when it works... i just like how everything stays the same as you last left it- thats how cars are supposed to be.

but the whole thing is ruined when you do get those weird problems (and they happen to all of us). i am also ditching hibernate, at least for awhile. if my system responds by being perfectly stable, i might set everything up to use asrock's instant boot- as thats the next best thing to hibernate.

and im not even sure whats so different from a desktop or a laptop. i use hibernate all the time on my hp tx2, but i guess since that doesnt have 15 accessories hooked to it and all of its parts are built to be compatible thats why it stays stable...

NO no no no no nooooo. Its like hibernate only much slower and far less stable...trust me avoid it! Its a giant marketing gimmick.
