HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, my bad, my A.D.D keeps me from fully reading messages, I just skim for keywords.
I dont like to think of myself as a troll, maybe a fairy, but never a troll, lol. That was so cute justchat1, I laughed so hard.
I will say this, it would be easier to maybe add a USB keypad and map out hotkeys. All the front ends have hot key abilities. Other then that, just add touch screens to the back. That will make them happy, give them more to do.

lolo, just print here out, and tape her to the back of the head rest. The passengers will be too busy thinking of what to do instead of the music.
+ 1 on the personal system per seat.
>> Can you really do that?
Thanks alot for the replys guysI will search through DigiKey and Mouser to see if I can find something.
Yeah, but its not as cool :PMight be easier to just have a remote that you could pass to the back seat (or take away if needed)
We often drive long 8-hour and 15-hour trips and I think that controllers like this would come in handy on these trips, there were more than one time that the two ppl in the front had noe care for the music at all (just wanted to listen to something).
I tried looking though mouser and digikey but I'm getting kind of lost. Could someone have a look for me? I think settling on a tiny joystick would be a good idea, then there will be five buttons to puch for each passenger. The joystick cant be much bigger than 1cm in diameter (if its circle-shaped) and the neatest solution would be if I could drill a small hole to make the electronical part be on the underside (instead of the whole thing being glued on the top)
Yes, look at my work log. Its veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy complicated to do. There is so much hardware, electrical wiring and what not. I havent got the system fully installed because of cash flow, but hopefully at the end of summer I will be starting to finish it.
Pleto, just buy one of these:

Make little stickers to put over the keys, like back, forward, skip, etc. Use your front end to map the function to the right keys and your done. Your over complicating with all the other ideas (People I already know im the king of complication so dont comment on my install, lol).

One of those wont fit at all, way to big :P
My first thought would be to use RCJoyCon.
Now for switches, you could try the über cool NKK programmable ones, like these:

But they can be expensive...but there's other ones, simpler like this one for $7.84:
