Here's to many years of happy mp3car driving!!!
Cheers!
I'm almost done with my mp3car setup.
Its a 233mhz Toshiba laptop, running win98 and winamp.
The screen is molded into a console I made, the CPU sits underneath. I removed the battery, so it turns off when I kill the inverter, and the power button is jammed on, so it comes on when I turn the inverter on (I actually stuffed a piece of paper in the little switch area to make it stay on)
To transfer files, I'm using a PCMCIA network card and VNC.
Eventually I'd like to mold a trackball into the console and put a small keyboard in the visor, and use it for GPS.
Right now Its just controlled by an IRman and my old satellite reciever remote.
all I have left is to finish the console, and install it and the inverter in the car.
Tommorow morning I'm gonna go buy a 200 watt inverter (I have a 600, but thats way to huge).
Thank You guys for all of your help throughout the years.
Special thanks goes to Aaron Cake, and Arby. You guys are awsome.

mp3car system is currently FUBAR and finances do not allow for a correction of that situation
Real computer hackers use a rotary cutting tool on their motherboard.
Its never done :P You're just walking into a trap if you think it is![]()

[H]4 Life
My next generation Front End is right on schedule.
It will be done sometime in the next generation.
I'm a lesbian too.
I am for hire!
Congrats
As others have said, pics...
And as others have also said - it's never finished. My first go worked well, see http://www.chiark.com/scooby/limp.asp but then I decided I could do oh so much more
