    win 7 32 bit or 64 bit?

Building a new CarPC. I have a Carnetix 2145, and heard their drivers handle 64 bit now. Everything else will be new. Any reasons not to do 64bit?

Honestly, unless you need more than 4GB of memory, there is no reason to run 64bit. Most carPC software out there is 32bit anyway.

Mobo is a zotac AM3 that I'll run 45w quad. It can take 8gb ram.

Forgot to mention I plan on using Centrafuse.

Coach is right, unless you plan on putting more than 4GB of ram, there is no point in using 64bit. For everything I do on my car PC, 4GB or ram and a 1.6 dual core atom are more than enough

I am running 64 bit, no problems with any software for the carpc as of yet, I went this way because i feel it wont be much longer and this will be a 64 bit world. It also cost the same as 32 bit. I used xp since it came out until 7 was proven stable, and I will do the same with 7, so in a few years when the next vista type junk os comes out I'll still be using 7 running the 64 bit programs everyone is making.

if you have a x64 disc laying around collecting dust, then it won' hurt to use.. but the main advantage--more addressable memory--is a little useless in-car..
