I would do that, but I don't necessarily want a permanent carpet. Here is what I was thinking....
Remove the rest of the dash and put sound deadening material there, do the same for the doors, and behind the rear panels in the back as well. Then I was thinking of making a "carpet" or something similar with the sound deadening material to lay in the back of the rig that was easily removable. Same thing for the passenger floor space in the rear. What are your guys' thoughts on that? I think it should help a lot for the everyday driving and really make things quieter. I am new to this aspect of building a rig, so any input would be awesome.
One thing that is important on the doors and behind the rear panels is that none of the materials can hold/trap water. At least keep it to a minimum b/c of what it will be used for.
Can someone help pick out some materials for the job and provide any input/suggestions? I don't want to spend thousands on materials, but don't mind spending a decent little bit of cash on it.
