Anyone a member of HACKTHEIBUS on Yahoo?

I've been trying dilligently to get access to the HACKTHEIBUS archives on Yahoo Groups for several weeks (well, more waiting than trying, but I did apply).

I'm not sure if the group is still active, but it apparently has a ton of the IBUS information that I'm looking for and I'd rather not reinvent 30 different wheels or duplicate the efforts of those that have gone before me...

If anyone knows anyone, or is a member and can perhaps ping on the group on my behalf, my Yahoo username is davepl@yahoo.com, and I'd sure appreciate it!

Did you get anywhere with this? I'm in the same position. I'm trying to push Yahoo for access since the moderator seems long gone from other posts I've seen (since about 2008).

I've emailed the group owner email address HackTheIBus-owner@yahoogroups.com but that probably goes into the same blackhole as the join requests.

Anyone else here reading a member of the group? I was a long time back but seem to have lost that access (or the account it went to).

Well I'd just like to get access back since there was a lot of good reference information in there.

Mainly was looking for Ibus codes and interpretation of Ibus messages. There are a few websites around with random bits and pieces. I know it isn't the absolute reference but every bit helps.

It's a pity it was set up as a completely closed group and then basically abandoned. We'll see if Yahoo Groups are prepared to help (although I doubt they will somehow).

So far haven't gotten very far with Yahoo Groups. They did give me a direct email to an apparent moderator however that's also gone into a black hole. They claim there has been recent moderator access but I'm not so sure. If there was memberships would have been approved etc. I don't know that they'll help much more.

If anyone's a member they can request a vote/poll to assign a new moderator. They have criteria, like being a long standing member etc though. I'd take the job since it would be minimal I'm sure, but it seems no one is interested...

I certainly used to be a member but I believe my profile is long gone unfortunately and I don't remember the name or password. They certainly make their profile system quite awkward if you ask me.

Is anyone a member of the HackTheIbus group and can still access it? If so there is a method to request to become a moderator via a poll if the moderator has disappeared. The catch is you need to be a member with some time in the group. Ultimately I'm happy to look after it (since it's minimal most likely) but I need to get a foot in the door first. If someone else can become the owner/moderator, they could then hand access on to me.

If you could reply here or via PM perhaps I could direct you through the process. I don't think it would be too onerous.
