Its a clean fit
Its a clean fit
I'm trying to picture the 73's interior, it sounds like it could be a pain, but would be sweet... OP, any ideas on how you would do it?
I have a carpc in my race car:
You can see the transflective display where the radio used to be, and the Alpine RUX-C701 controller for the H701 media manager that does optical to the PC. The CarPC does double-duty for me as it also runs BigComm to tune the BigStuff3 engine management computer that controls the fuel injection. It datalogs my passes at the strip and I can fine-tune the motor while driving.
Here's a shot from CarCraft Summer Nationals a couple years ago...
So, does this qualify as a musclecar?
^i completely respect the amount of work you put into it, and i imagine you could have 2 carlengths on anything i have by second gear, but it still makes me laugh!
(if the car doesn't count as a muscle car, the engine and Mickey Thompson's sure do!!)
hee, hee.......I likey. TMF, Great job. :thumb:
Not to nit pick, but the actual definition of a muscle car, is a mid size rear wheel drive 2 door car, that has the motor from a full size car in it(i.e. the GTO had the 389 not available in the mid size car, which is also what started the muscle car). Mustangs, T/As, Camaros, are pony cars, not muscle cars(smaller car with large engine). Same way the Super Duty Catalinas, Impallas etc are performance cars, yes, but not muscle cars. Likewise, a Corvette is not a muscle car either, it's a sports car. Muscle car has become more of a generic term, but what's above is what it actually means.
piercedmikey, I agree with what your saying.....F$#kin' cock-eyed Nader took all the fun away.
I own a PONY car also... and yes this is not a "muscle Car" by definition, but far from a slouch either, .....a 1989 Firebird Formula 350 which I only take out once a year/garaged and covered, very low miles....a real show stopper...Killer sound system and all etc.
Now that I added the CarPC to the mixx.....woo,woo!!
I wish I could have more time enjoying it........but other things always get in the way like life, family, job etc.
I have not taken any recent pics lately. The last pics I took where about 11+ or so years ago.........maybe it's time to post some eh.
Oh, and these sites should clear up the definition of the what is a "Muscle Car".
