L322 Range Rover CarPC - tech help needed, first CarPC attempt

Hi all,

I have a 2003 Range Rover Vogue with the rubbish factory fitted Sat Nav system.

I want to try my first CarPC install, and like the idea of replacing the head unit with a touchscreen monitor, boot mounted PC, and have some kind of i-bus interface to enable me to retain the car on board computer functions and the steering wheel controls etc, and ideally pump the CarPC music through the original BM54 amplifier and DSP module.

Unfortunately, there ends my technical knowledge of how to accomplish my idea

Any help anyone can provide ref hardware / software needed / recommended would be hugely appreciated as I really can't live with this standard fit rubbish any longer!

Guys

for those who dose not know , Range Rover 2003 and 2004 are using BMW components.

all the car's entertainment system and the navigation system are E53 BMW X5.

So any help would be appreciated.
