    Question Canada

Ok, I live in Canada and I want to bring some stuff over the border (from the US)... Now these are computer parts that arent available in Canada and the Gov will charge me 15% in taxes to bring em over!! Does anyone know of a way of getting around this? Is there minimum amount for which they wont charge????

    Thanks

Um, I live on the US Canadian border near Detroit and we always buy stuff and bring it to and from, you just don't tell the customs people that you have it, especially if its in the trunk where they can't see it. Your chances of getting caught are minimal. Just don't act stupid and suspicioud. Sounds like I'm dealing drugs, but mostly alcohol, been doing it for years, gotta love the Duty Free shop.

I ordered some stuff for my mp3 player from MPJA (US) came to 49 US with shipping. Fair enough so like 70 CND. UPS ships it up and I get charged another 35 CND because its electronics. "Brokerage fee"

Yea. I never get my stuff sent via UPS when its coming from the USA. First time I did I had a $35+ brokerage fee. After that I always get it sent USPS or somthing. The fees always end up being cheaper!

And.., if you get caught what you get? Absolutely not worth it.

C'mon, let's not promote anything illegal on this forum. I don't think it's the purpose of it.
