Need help deciding on 2 devices to integrate into my car>Carputer, Android, DVD Rcv'r

Hey everyone, I just picked up a used Infill G4 and I think I'm starting to realize how out-dated some of the technology is. I'm thinking about replacing it with a newer carputer, using a separate touch-screen and separate hardware case mounted remotely. I'll refer to this as a multi-piece carputer. I think I'm interested in integrating a compatible Android phone with whatever in-dash touchscreen I decide to go with, but here are the options I'm currently considering:

    1. Keep the Infill G4 and purchase the X2 Module to integrate my phone with the G4's touchscreen (using a switch to alternate devices)

    2. Replace the G4 with a Double-DIN DVD touch-screen receiver (preferably Pioneer brand, but I'm somewhat flexible), and purchase the X2 Module to integrate my phone with the aftermarket DVD receiver's touch-screen

    3. Replace the G4 with a multi-piece carputer, and purchase the X2 Module to integrate my phone with the aftermarket DVD receiver's touch-screen

My biggest concern is I want something that functions exactly like an in-dash DVD touch-screen stereo receiver, in the means of automatically powering up when I turn on the ignition (without lengthy startup time), automatically powering off when I turn off the ignition (or go into Hibernation if it's a carputer), and have the features of DVD touch-screen receiver (FM Stereo, Satellite Radio capability, Bluetooth [A2DP preferred, but not a requirement], Navigation, USB input[s], Pictures, Video support [aside from DVDs]) and very importantly have great sound.

I've always loved the sound of a Pioneer unit once I've tweaker the EQ's and whatnot. Not sure if I can expect that sound clarity and control with a carputer as my main source of audio. I'm not against having to use an external amplifier for my door speakers if I need to, but I just want complete control of my sound like Pioneer receiver would provide.

-Would a multi-piece carputer support exactly what I'm looking for sound-wise?

-What are some extra features that I can expect to be supported if I got the multi-piece carputer route?

I would really like something that supports WiFi-- either internally, via a USB WiFi dongle, or via my Android phone. This is where the X2 Module may come in, because I can just switch over to my Android phone to use the Internet and other features that require Internet-connectivity (ie: Slacker Radio, YouTube, etc.). But I can also use my phone as a WiFi hot-spot in junction with a carputer in order to access most of these same features that I would like.

Some feedback on this would be extremely appreciated. I'm getting too many ideas and need some direction so I can narrow this project down and start getting it together. Thanks in advance!
