We are already supporting OBD adapters and reading ALL information out. That whole framework is done, and will of cause be available from plugins.

GPS framework is done, but not tested yet. So far we only support NEMA protocol and not SiRF, but that will probably come soon, if it's even necessary as almost, if not any GPS receiver supports NEMA.

Radio modules is something that we will support too of cause, but is has not been initiated since we prioritize that as low, for the moment.

We will be integrating Sygic Navigation, i have done some POC on it, it's pretty easy done.

Furthermore we will support Joycon (for steering wheel control),

So far nothing else is in the pipeline, but we will of cause be adding to that list as we continue developing.

I would have to say that RELIABLE and CONSISTENT functionality is what will make a great front end. If they can pull off a well thought out and easy to implement plug in system, then I can see functionality as a non issue. What would be great is if the core system had an integrated method of retrieving raw data from USB via HID or virtual com ports in a pre-defined format and be able to issue definable commands over such connections...... something along the lines of a data bus. You could use something as simple as a delimited stream. I would love to see something in the core that would allow an end user to easily configure communication with peripheral devices. Something along the lines of...

    Open a config screen.
Select a HID device attached or COM port
Define how many commands to config for send and data bits to receive over that connection
Define the data to be sent for each send command
Define a variable to hold data from each bit chunk received.
Make these send commands and variables available for use anywhere in the program.
Insert a code snippet to manipulate the data
Define a method of displaying the data such as a guage, text display, numerical display and where to put it.
Define a button to issue a configured command and where to put it.
