Alternative control of AC seats in new Ford
I'm looking at picking up a 2013 Ford F-150 with air conditioned seats, but I am hung up on one issue. The climate controls for the vehicle are done with hard controls in the dash, however the seats are controlled via the touch screen ONLY (frustrating for me!).
Ford charges more than I want to spend for their navigation, and I rarely use it anyway so I figured I could wait until I can install a carpc to have it. I just haven't seen, or heard, anything on an alternative method of controlling the seats. Until I have a bright idea or stumble across an example of what someone else has done, it seems to me that I'll be locked into the default touch screen system or I will lose that function.
I've done a fair bit of searching within the forum as well as on google and haven't been able to come up with anything. Do any of you know of a way this can be done or know some someone who has successfully done it already? I would really appreciate any sort of input on the matter. I don't own a vehicle with this equipment so I'm limited to what I can find online for information at this point. Thanks so much in advance!
