Comments: Don't use the rear screen heater cable as a handy ground. 30-odd amps up the ground plane of the PC is not healthy. But it did lead to an excuse to get a better MoBo...

Comments: Opus is the way to go, and make sure that 5v gets turned off. Don't waste time if you want a kicking sound system, go straight for the Audigy NX2 and make a 5v supply!!
