Variable Bitrate
Hi all East Mids here.....but i was in southport not long ago....
Been on the boards about a month and just found this thread so ill say hello...........heh up skraggy!!
Hows the screen?
PROJECT
Golf Ryder
Project base:
HARdWARE P3 800mhz, 256 mb ram, 20gb HD, micro 815 msi mobo, irman, inverter, unknow screen (MISSING PIECE)
SOFTWARE: BOOTIT BG, win98 lite, slackware + dash pc, winxp
Im currently putting all the bits in a redundant pc case for configuring and installing and imaging!!! Imaging is the best thing in the world.......
Im also carving up a steel case for the puter to live in....using a nibbler!!
Once that is done its just the screen and then im done, but the screen is a mess i just cant find anything.....plus the whole thing has cost me maybe 100 pounds i resent spending 250 pounds on a screen alone!!!
Oh i need to buy a small atx power supply the ones in our RM Pc's are tiny made by lite on need to find a supplier or make one disappear from the office!

Is the Golf Ryder the Offroader lookalike 4x4 Golf?
Complete with the spare wheel on the boot hatch?

Newbie
Location: Chorley, Lancashire
Vehicle: Toyota MR2 Mk2 NA
System: EPIA-M1000, TM-701L In-Dash 7" TouchScreen, 40Gb 2.5" HD, 512Mb RAM, Sony HeadUnit with XA-300 input adapter to allow CD Changer input to operate as 2 AUX-IN's.
Software : Windows XP, Developing custom App in Delphi using DirectShow, should handle Audio, Video initially, hopefully going to expand it to do Navigation and operate as a Bluetooth Carkit when I get the money for the hardware
Status: Still on the workbench at the moment while I build a custom case for it. Also struggling with power options, as I really can't afford an Opus.
Hopefully going to get it in the car in about a month, assuming I get up of my arse and finish the software.

Squirelly, have a look in the PSU forum about the DC2DC strore. Couple of interesting ideas in there, including the DC2DC PSU boards, and the ACE 810V which may have the rudiments of a Shutdown controller (in the form of a backup power feed in, and a pulse signal from the output side of the PSU).

AH, OK. Which one was the 4x4 with the softroader look then?
-
Variable Bitrate
mmmmm i have no idea...are these like ultra rare?
-
FLAC
Well the Synchro models are rare enough (4x4), but thge off road one actually looked beefier than some Discos, and Freelanders.

Freelanders are sooo ****e...i wouldnt have one of those if i wanted to do some off roading....or a Jeep there just as false......
If you want off roading then its got to be a defender class with a snorkel or a challenger.....proper rivoted body panels lovely....
It just makes me laugh all these SUV type 'off road' cars if you put them on that Land rover test centre i bet they all get stuck.....too long wheel bases.
Rant over
