If you're getting hit by this, be sure to check out Microsoft Technet for details on it, and download links.
If you are trying to download this, and you get the message that your computer is shutting down, go to Start -> Run, and type shutdown -a, which will abort the shutdown process, and should give you enough time to patch your system.
This is also showing up as W32.Blaster.Worm on updated antivirus definitions.
If you have MSBlast anywhere on your system, you are infected. Even if you are lucky and don't have this, then be sure to patch your system.

that nt thing was really getting to me but windows update fixed it I guess
this thread would have been more useful earlier, after playing around in msconfig and win.ini it stopped..........i found a suspicious program in startupo called msblast.exe, this may have been it
